Community Curator's Challenge - Move Masterpiece Results!

[ Edited ]

Move Masterpiece

Results

Thank you for waiting so patiently for these results!
We always knew that the LittleBigPlanet community was incredibly talented but this particular challenge truly proved that to us without a shadow of a doubt!

We received nearly 100 entries and overall the quality was quite astounding, which made the task of going through each and every one of them over and over again to decide a winner, all the more difficult!

Anyway we've finally worked our way through all your paintings...
And slowly but surely, we whittled down the entries to our firm favourites...
Before ultimately deciding on our favourite painting and declaring them the winner of the Move Masterpiece Challenge!

The Winner of the Move My Sackboy Challenge is...

[MMP] September Girl

By natuhito

Although there was much deliberation, there's no denying that September Girl was our favourite Move Masterpiece entry!

We saw plenty of Sackboy and Sackgirl paintings but what really caught our eye with this particular painting was the way that natuhito had managed to capture pure human emotion and expression into the portrait.

The level of detail involved is simply superb with such an incredible amount of detail and attention put into ensuring that the painting is suitably symmetrical for a human being and that the shadowing and lighting across the whole piece was spot on to help truly bring the painting to life!

So there you have it!
We're proud to present to you our Move Masterpiece winner...
September Girl!

As always though, the winner certainly wasn't the only great entry that we saw and we would just like to take a moment to showcase a few of our other favourite paintings in the Honourable Mentions!

Honourable Mentions

 [MMP] The Little Elf
  By Konfedia

Here's another humanoid painting that really caught our attention!
We truly loved the creativity shown in this particular painting and the blend of colours really help to make The Little Elf stand out from the painting!

 [MMP] Tree of Hope
  By bloodsynlol

This is another incredible painting that used colouring and tone to set the mood of the entire piece!
Brilliantly put together and a rather unique use of abstract creativity really help with design of this Autumnal tree and is an amazing display of a beautifully scenic view.

 Londons Burning [MMP]
  By  oLMCo

This historic event is brought to life by oLMCo's masterpiece and therefore truly deserving of display in any museum!
Perspective was the key to capturing this moment and with a wide-range of subjects on offer with London itself, the terrible fires that ravaged it and the saddened witness of the whole event, we just had to appluad oLMCo for his creativity in putting this piece together!

So that's the end of the Move Mastepiece Challenge, which brings the Community Curator's Challenge: Move Madness to a close!

Again a very big thank you to all that entered, we've seen so many incredible entries and we definitely look forward to seeing what these level designers and artists will be publishing in future!

The challenge doesn't end there though!
The next Community Curator's Challenge is already underway!
So if you haven't already, be sure to check out the Trailer Task Challenge!

Congratulations to natuhito for winning the Move Masterpiece Challenge.
They will now receive the Rare Prize Crown, AwesomeSauce Secret Pin and Signed Cosmos Concept Art Print for their winning entry! :smileyhappy:

Great work to all of you, I loved the first place art. The human figure is a challenge to create in it's own right. Kudos! I think it was well deserved.  Hopefuly by the time another art contest comes along I will have a move controller, I really need to get one. ^^
